Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010

Blog One

My reason for writing this blog entry is because I want to try and make you recall that Commonwealth Games are approaching. We all know that these games are going to be held inDelhithis time. I don’t know what Indian media is up to as all they are doing is creating negative vibes for these games. News channels are only showing the places which are not yet ready; the damaged roads, water logging and under construction stadiums. I accept that these things do exist and should be a major concern among all of us. The media is lacking in the ‘MUST’ thing they should be doing ‘Creating and setting up the spirit of games and developing a positive attitude towards the city and country that

YES WE CAN AND WE WILL GIVE GAMES THAT THE WORLD WILL REMEBER and will be recalled as the BEST and biggest CWG ever in the history’

I don’t ask to close your eyes and ignore the odds around the city. All I want you to do is prepare yourself for the Delhi 2010 Games and be a part of it. Support the ‘Shera-the mascot’. Why can’t we all try and create a positive attitude around our friend circle and make them realize how important the games are and how prestigious they are for pride of our country.

Why can’t we give our effort to support the games instead of criticizing games? Why can’t we show the world that “YES WE HAVE FAITH IN OUR SYSTEM AND YES WE WILL GIVE GAMES THAT THE WORLD WILL APPRECIATE?”

The very next time when someone in your family or your friends turn up to you and say that there are not going to be any games or any good games in city just tell them that “I –We Believe the games are going to be there in Delhi with best of the facilities, amenities, stadiums, Metro, roads, highways, hotels, parks, food, security and transportation”.

We all also know that while CWG 2010, Delhi, roads will have some dedicated lanes for the games vehicles” on which recently some political party people did commented that “we going to break the law and sit on Satyagrah if the lane concept is not taken back because due to it the common people will be getting affected” So my reply (& I expect yours as well) to them is:

“Sir/Mam, You should know that when you drive your cars across the city with a convoy of 20 cars, the roads are closed 15 minutes prior to the time you reach there and are opened after 5 minutes you leave from there. This is where common people get affected. In such a situation we can’t do anything because you guys take the maximum benefits of being on higher post and making misuse of facilities provided to you. Why not on earth in this situation you think how much a common man will be affected?

We Delhiites can easily face traffic resulting in office, college and school delays because of you, and, we can also face same while CWG that too just for 15 days, in your case which is 365 days.”

I end up here hoping that if not everyone at least some of you will for sure be proud that you are the host of CWG Delhi 2010. I expect you to play a major role in these games.

For the media people – Please request you to be a part of games and it’s a high time you should start creating a positive attitude towards games through the strongest medium of communication.
